He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Nadine Hankinson (Whitham); his son Derek Wayne Hankinson; and his brother Hubert Dale Hankinson. He is survived by: his former wives, Sherry Mayfield and Deborah Kay Roberts; his wife Deborah Kay "Debbie" Hankinson (Roberts) of Patriot, IN; his children, Paul "Dale" Hankinson (Cammy Brewer) of Milton, KY, Shelley Turner (Rick) of Nabb, IN, Lori Sainz (Scott) of Bennington, IN, Dustin Hankinson of Patriot, IN and Samantha Hankinson (Robbie Miller) of Patriot, IN; his grandchildren, Jason, Holly, Autumn, Austin, Hannah, Dalton, Bailey, Hailey, Audrey, Bradley, Brayden and Brenden; his great grandchildren, Bryson, Gabriel, Axel and Colt; and his brother John Grant Hankinson (Debi) of East Enterprise, IN.. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
