He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rosina McGuire (Bolinger) and Neal McGuire; his wife Martha Lou McGuire (Gable); his former spouse Jahma Joyce McGuire (Burton); his daughter Jane Grove (Damon); his grandchildren, Molly McGuire, Anne Taylor (Mark), Karen Lloyd, Ross Grove (Chabree), Reed Grove (Kim) and Rachel Troutman (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Hannah, Elijah, Noah Taylor, Joely, Rileigh Bertram, Eva Lloyd, Addilynn, Callie, Hailey Grove, Weston, Gavin Grove, Braxton and Beckett Troutman; and his son Tim E. McGuire.
