He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alton Phipps and Peggy Phipps (McCullough); his wife Mona Phipps; his daughters, Tina Hollowell (Scott), Becky Penix (Watt) and Lisa Phipps; his sisters, Bonnie King (Morris) and Linda Steele; his grandchildren, SiAira Hollowell, Traceston Hollowell, David Foster, Brooklyn Myers, Tyler Phipps and Selena Borson; his brother Albert Phipps; and his grandson Justin Bowen. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
