He is survived by: his wife Helen Elkins; his children, Jeremy Elkins (Mary Beth), Matt Elkins (Kelly) and Amber Johnson (Chad); his stepchildren, Marshal Royalty (Erin), Mitchell Royalty (Pam), LaDonna Simpson (David) and Donita Layman (Phil); and his siblings, Larry Elkins, Roy Elkins and Eloise Brumett (Lloyd). He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
