Eugene left this world on April 14, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie McIntosh and Josie McIntosh; his former wife Geraldine Sue McIntosh (Stogdill); his children, Todd McIntosh and Polly Jo Ferguson; his siblings, David, Jack McIntosh, Patty Kramer, Fran Bratcher, Henrietta Mettler, Birdie Adams, Ileen Wetzel, Judy Baker and Edna Rockey; his son-in-law Brian Proffitt; and his great grandchildren, Arabella Jade and Lucas Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Joyce Ferguson (Rayburn); his children, Roger McIntosh (Sheila) of Deputy, David Ferguson (Glenna) of Texas, Scott Ferguson (Debbie) of Texas, Tina Proffitt of Paris Crossing and Tammy Lusk (Randy) of Seymour; and his siblings, Steve McIntosh (Gail) of Paris Crossing, Curt McIntosh (Karen) of Nashville and Wanda Sullivan of North Vernon.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery (2615 IN-250, Paris Crossing, IN 47270).
Memorials in honor of Eugene may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or Schneck Foundation Hospice.
