He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Engel and Nettie Engel; and his daughter Carolyn Diane Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Engel of Paris Crossing; his grandchildren, Sharla Todd (Eric) of North Vernon and Larry Sawyer, Jr. (Tamara) of Paris Crossing; his great grandchildren, Josh Sawyer (Jennifer), Leigha Briner (Darin), Arica Todd and Arin Todd; and his great great grandchildren, Brodey Sawyer, Macey Sawyer and Max Sawyer. He is also survived by four sisters and ten brothers.
