She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Gene Whitaker and Shirley Jane Whitaker (Hancock); and her husband Tommy. She is survived by: her daughter Cassidy Whitaker-Thompson of Bloomington; her stepsons, Tommy Thompson (Stacey) of Moyock and Dustin Thompson of Ardmore, Oklahoma; her siblings-in-law, Susan Brown (Mark) and Jimmy Thompson; her aunts, Linda Wert and Margaret Kerr; her close friend Steve Boebinger; and her friends, Bob and Rhonda Dickey.

Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, the family has chosen to forgo public services at the time.
