She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Edward and Mary Ruby Chaplin (Dalton); her spouse Justus Butt; her siblings, Charles Dale, Troy Hyson, Howard Edward, Jack Lee, Harry Duane, Larry Dean, Michael Jean, Billy Joe Chaplin and Nina Thomas; her granddaughter Mariah Sword; and her son-in-law James Prater.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Butt of Paoli, Victor Butt of Palmyra, Kathy Prater of Paoli and Karen Hargesheimer of Paoli; and her siblings, Carl Raymond Chaplin of Paoli, Randy Allen Chaplin of French Lick and Shirley Merlene Crowe of Paoli. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
