Chastain Jr. (Kaila) of Anderson, Christian Chastain (Melody) of Greenville, Christopher Logan Weikert of Guam, Stephanie Jo Drake (Jordan) of Bedford, Logan Wade Dalton Weikert of Paoli, Carter Cleveland Chastain (Claire) of Indianapolis, Keaton Chastain (Trenton McElfresh) of New Albany, Patrick Shannon of Indianapolis and Brenna Shannon of Indianapolis; and his siblings, Sharon Slavens of Georgia, Brenda Kay Latham (Tom) of Paoli, Linda June Dearborn of Marengo and Phillip Dean Chastain (Debbie) of Paoli. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
