He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle E. Guthrie and Shirlea Ann Guthrie (Ponder); his wife Ashley Guthrie of Paoli; his daughters, Jacqualine, Elizabeth and Lisa GutherieSon; his close friends, Micheale Porter, Roger Strange, Lacey Wehinger and T. J.; and his children, John, Melissa Porter, Andy, Kara Gerber, Larry Chapman, Chris, Michelle Lindley, Pam Hurt, Linda Hudoff, Ann Strange, Evelyn Matlock, Ruth Strange, Aimie Crowder, Amber Fields, Becky Fields, Cameron, Jason, Cody Fields, Jim Riley, Laura Pulliam, Mark Tope, Mary Highfield, Roger Emmons, Tina Robbins, Emily Davis and Michael Tinkle.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jesus Fellowship Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
