He is survived by: his children, Bryan Hess of Orleans, Chad Hess (Hilda) of Ferdinand, Brent Hess of Paoli, Glenda Mahuron (James) of Campbellsburg, Melissa Hurst (Brian) of Salem and Marva Andrews of Bromer; his siblings, Roger Hess of Salem, Dallas Hess (Christina) of Marengo and Jennifer Smith of English; his grandchildren, Darin Hess of Paoli, Cory Hess of Orleans, Bryanna White of Hardinsburg, Jacob Mahuron of Delaware, Alissa Terrell of Paoli, Lana Terrell of Paoli, Evan Apple of Mitchell, Logan Hess of Orleans, Zachary Andrews, James Andrews, Elijah Andrews and Eden Andrews; his close friend Mary K. Barksdale of Paoli; and his brothers-in-law, Denny, Kevin, Raymond and Roger Moon.
