She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Gavin and Elsie M. Gavin (Thomas); her husband Donald R. Batman; her children, Brandon Dye and Donna Thomas; and her sisters, Dorothy Houpt and Pat Knox.
She is survived by: her children, Brent A. Hensley (Renee) of Corydon, Indiana, Beth Ann Rodewig (Mike) of New Albany, Rebecca J. Allee (Jeff) of Floyds Knobs and Bobbi S. Linker (Greg) of Corydon, Indiana; and her brother John "Jack" Gavin (Marilyn) of Jeffersonville, Indiana. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (306 Spring St, Milltown, IN 47145). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
