He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Q. Batman and Chloie B. Batman (Vance); his daughter Donna Thomas; his stepson Brandon Dye; his siblings, Alvin, Bob, Dale, Jerry, Meredith Batman, Doris Enlow and Mary Jean Benham; and his wife Ethel C. Batman (Gavin).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Brent Hensley (Renee) of Corydon, Indiana, Beth Rodewig (Mike) of New Albany, Becky Allee (Jeff) of Floyds Knobs and Bobbi Linker (Greg) of Corydon, Indiana. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
