He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Evans and Ethel Matthews (Whitman); his wife Betty Lou Evans; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Evans and Marian Cecil.

He is survived by: his son Brian Evans (Michelle) of Owensville, IN; and his grandson Kyle Evans.

Donations in his honor can be made to the Dementia Society of America.
