He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ellis and Betty June Ellis (Kunkle); his sister Melinda Kramer Richard Ellis; and his pet Rusty. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Greer; his children, Tammy Ellis (Spalding) of Otterbein, John Ellis Jr. of Iowa, Bryce Ellis of Florida and Nathan Ellis of Oklahoma; his granddaughter Ashley Carillo (Chris) of Frankfort; and his siblings, Bill Ellis of Virginia and Melody Ellis of Alexandria, Virginia. He is also survived by 3 other grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
