He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry W. Shepard and Sally E. Durham Shepard; the mother of his children Anna Shepard; his second Marietta Shepard; and his son Dale Shepard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gloria Hartman (Rick) of Marysville, IN and Faye Wiggam (Larry) of New Washington, IN; and his grandchildren, Tony Webb (Amber), Billy Webb (Susan), Crystal Webb, Neyland McClellan (Sandra), Tammy Shelton, Sheila Combs Bobby Dale (Tracy) and Leslie Bowen. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
