He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin F. Spencer and Frances L. Spencer; and his brothers, Paul Morton Spencer, David Bennett Spencer and Jonathan Edwin Spencer.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Jones Spencer; his sons, Joshua Ryan Spencer (Beth) of Charlestown, IN, Jacob Daniel Spencer (Caylin) of Corydon, IN, Joseph Tyler Spencer of Marysville, IN and Jaxson Matthew Spencer of Charlestown; his granddaughters, Isabella Geraldine, McKinley Grace and AnnaKate Gabrielle; his siblings, Thomas Ewell, Stephen Spencer of Jeffersonville, IN and Barbara Walker (Anthony) of Jeffersonville; his father-in-law Jay "Sonny" Jones (Charlotte) of Otisco; and his sisters-in-law, Deena Bennett and Kathleen Spencer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
