He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Rosie (Tharp); his son Thomas Chadwell Jr.; and his grandsons, Michael, Braydon and Kevin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ronetta Michael (Jason), April Rouse and Nicolette (Jeffery); and his siblings, Allen, Ronnie, Sammy, Leonard, Donnie, Peggy and Judy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and several niece and nephews.
