He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlow Sturgeon and Lulla Sturgeon (Cole); his brothers, Howard Sturgeon and James Sturgeon; and his grandson Kyran Denny.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Harbin (Kelly) of Jeffersonville and Kevin Sturgeon (Lori) of Osgood; and his sister Karen Schmeltz (Bill) of Columbus. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
