He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd and Sadie (Letha); his wife Letha Ann Jarrett; his daughter Karen Wolter; and his grandsons, Robert Allen Vance and Elisha Bleu Collins.

He is survived by: his children, Samuel Collins (Linda) of Bright, Fred Collins of Osgood, Billy P. Collins (Kim) of Sunman, Joan Collins of Batesville, Tammy Collins (Kevin Washam) of Laurel and Melinda Collins of Brookville; and his sister Yvonne Collins of Tennessee. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in honor of Clayton to the donor's choice.
