With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Ann Slane of Osceola, Indiana, born in Rochester, Indiana, who passed away on February 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex E. Wood and Beulah Wood (Bryant); her son Kevin Slane; her siblings, Phyllis Manges, Donald, Irvin, Charles and Eugene Wood; and her great grandchild Amelia Desai.
She is survived by: her husband Don Slane of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her children, Carla Ann Weddle (Kenneth) of Olathe and Brian Charles Slane (Christa) of Flat Rock, Michigan; her daughter-in-law Kathy Slane; her grandchildren, Kyle Slane, Kristie Nanney (Isaac), Stephanie Boen (Ian), Emily Desai (Vishrut), Megan Fore (Curtis) and Drew Slane; her great grandchildren, Lillian Jane, Jackson, Chloe Boen, Everett Fore and Adalynn Desai; her siblings, Pat Ruff of Osceola, Martha Brenneman (Bob) of Osceola, Gloria Newcomer of Jimtown, Karen Swank of Walkerton, Norma Peachey of Tampa, Ross Wood (Judy) of Mishawaka and Jerry Wood (Barb) of Osceola; and her stepsister Joan Ginther of Rochester.
In her memory, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Remembering Rowan Foundation of Fort Wayne.
