He was predeceased by: his parents, Custer Cornett and Susie Cornett (Spencer); his children, Scott Cornett and Carol Wright-Howe; his close friend Mary Howe; his grandson Timothy Scott Cornett; and his siblings, Rocky, Goodie, Tom, Jean, Charlene and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Andy Howe and Tony Howe (Angie); his daughter-in-law Rosie Cornett; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Howe, Kathleen Bucey (Todd), Susan Cornett, Kevin Cornett (Sarah), Buddy Beasley, Tara Russell, Brandy Soto (Sergio), Jenni Delano (Derek), Levy Howe (Hannah) and Jordan Howe. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
