We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2023, at the age of 88, Samuel George Mattox of Orleans, Indiana, born in Shoals, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mattox and Irene Mattox (Gammon); his siblings, Susie, Roma, Freida, Etta and James; and his great grandchild Kellen.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy "Pat" Mattox; his children, Debra Pixley (Phillip) of Orleans, David Mattox of Orleans, Sherri McFarland of Orleans and Terri Best (James) of New Albany; and his sisters, Mary Ann Kennedy of Mitchell and Virginia Chaplin of West Baden. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
