She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Batchelor and Pearl Batchelor (Mahan); her husband Howard Shipley; her brothers, Bob, Richard, John, Roy and Glen; her grandson Gary Shipley; and her great grandchild Kaylea Hickman.

She is survived by: her children, Jack Shipley (Melody) of Orleans, Larry Shipley of Mooresville, IN, Carolyn Stephens (Carl) of Paoli and Pam Kile (Herman) of Orleans; her brothers, Dale and Marvin Batchelor of Campbellsburg; and her grandchildren, Cindy, Kevin, Karla, Robin and David.
