He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Gray and Lorene Gray (Chatham); his wife Margie Hall Gray; and his siblings, Rowena McBride and James Arthur Gray.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lea Brown (Jan) of Orleans and Melva Gray of Indianapolis; his grandson Jesse Brown of New Albany; his sister-in-law Phyllis Gray; and his extended family Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. He is also survived by neighbors and friends.
