He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Tarr and Ruth Tarr (Chastain); and his sisters, Betty Johnson and Barbara Tarr. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hill; his children, John Arthur "J." Tarr and Jennifer Rutherford; his grandchildren, Cambree Cline, Izzie Rutherford and Piper Rutherford; and his sisters, Mary Merry (David), Jo Ann Morgan and Martha Lambdin (Skip).
