He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Carroll and Rose Ellen Ashley (Brewer); and his wife Maxine Ashley. He is survived by: his son Jeremy Ashley (Holly) of Paoli; his stepchildren, William Jones (Jennifer) of Mitchell and Tiffany Ann Jones of Bedford; his sister Linda Combs of Bedford; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Payton, Charlee, Maverick, Kirkland and Tripp.

“Jerry was an easy going person and fun to have around. He was the first grandchild in our family. and family was important to him. Even though his grandparents on his dads side lived in Kentucky, he always managed to come to all the family gatherings. He suffered a lot of health issues but managed to always have a positive attitude. He was my first nephew and will definitely be missed at our family gatherings.”
