He is survived by: his parents, Herchel Proctor and Helen Wilkins Proctor; his child Papaw Gene; his wife Helen Walker Proctor; his daughters, Beth Ann, Nathan Schnellenberger, Pamela Hughes and Thomas Hughes; his stepchildren, Rick Cowan, Kim McKracken, Mike McKracken, LeAnn Trueblood and Jeff Trueblood; and also Diane Cowan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his wife Helen.
