He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Thornton and Evelyn Thornton (Thorne); his wife Nancy Thornton (Barnett); his stepson Robert Wheeler (Christy); his daughter Jessica Thornton Watkins (Micheal); his stepdaughter Heather Leatherman (Kyle); his children, Patricia Lind (Robert) and Adam Thornton (Leah); and his siblings, Judy Findlay (John), Larry Thornton, Roger Thornton (Elizabeth), Cindy Thornton, Donald Thornton (Sharon), Doug Thornton (Chris), Carol Thornton, Connie Page (Ron), Michael Thornton (Hong), Rob Thornton (Angie), Shirley, Angela and Sharon. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and sixteen nieces and nephews.
