He is survived by: his parent Melville Anderson; his spouse Ruth Elinor Elrod (Crandall); his child Stephen Elrod of New York; and his sisters, Ina (Joe Bledsoe) of French Lick, Donna (David Lukie) of Vevay and Rita (Mike Russell) of Bedford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
