He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Hartman and Rose C. Hartman; and his siblings, Joseph B. Hartman, Ruth Harpring, Martin Hartman and Evelyn Elsmer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Flaspohler (Francis), Alfred Hartman (Erma), Laurine Gramman, George Hartman and Rose Eckstein. He is also survived by 50 nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
