With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Edward Simmermeyer of Oldenburg, Indiana, born in Batesville, Indiana, who passed away on December 6, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Simmermeyer and Elizabeth Simmermeyer (Freese); and his siblings, Art, Dennis Simmermeyer and Ethel Schomber.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Simmermeyer; his children, Carla Dwenger (Wayne), Rebecca Hornberger (Dwayne) and Anthony J. Simmermeyer (Lynn); his grandchildren, Eric, Lee, Amanda Dwenger, Sydney, Zakary Hornberger, Dakota Simmermeyer and Jamie Lane; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Charlee, Harley, Chessie and Autumn Dwenger; and his siblings, Carl "Buck" Simmermeyer, Zola Ernstes, Agatha Glaub, Ruthann Rudolf and Kathlyn Fichtner.
Memorials may be given to either Holy Family Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana by bringing to the services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
