He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Kirschner and Estella Kirschner (Bruns); his brother Carl; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Unkrich. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hartman; and his children, Sharon Meier (Joe), Rosie Slagle, Susan Unkrich (Greg), Melissa Jacobs (Carey) and Gerry (Lesa). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
