John Thomas Moorman Obituary

We bid farewell to John Thomas Moorman of Oldenburg, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2024 at the age of 89. John Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman and Loretta; his wife Claire Edwina; and his siblings, Francis "Pete" Moorman, Ro Brewer, Milton "Nicky" Moorman, Thomas "Dick" Moorman, Wally Moorman, Rita Claire "Ritz" Moorman, Elizabeth "Betty" Ricci and Wilhelmina "Billie" Laugle.

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Moorman (Mary) of Batesville, Dale Moorman (Tara) of Oldenburg and Mark Moorman of Cincinnati, OH; and his grandchildren, Claire Smith (Mike) of Delphi, IN, James Moorman (Trisha) of Indianapolis, IN, Matt Moorman of Indianapolis, IN, Pros Moorman of Oldenburg, IN and Frank Moorman of Oldenburg, IN. He is also survived by two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Church (13 St Louis Pl, Batesville, IN 47006).
