Wilmer Wittmer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2022, at the age of 92, Wilmer Wittmer of Odon, Indiana, born in Montgomery, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Wittmer (Stoll) and David Wittmer; and his brothers, Elmer (Viola), Amos (Agnes) and Ora.

He is survived by: his wife Rosie Wittmer; his children, Darrell Wittmer (Karen) of Louisville, KY, Dorothy Ellis (Tim) of Bloomington, Sharon Mallatt (Pete) of Vincennes and Linda Boje (Bruce) of Cicero, IN; his grandchildren, Tim Ellis, Joan Ellis, Beth Ellis, Leigh Boje, Matthew Boje, Christina Kamelhair, Natalie Groff, David Wittmer and Michael Wittmer; his great grandchildren, Paige, Leo Kamelhair, Elena, Nora Groff, Ruth and Aaron Wilmer Wittmer; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Wittmer, Jean Yoder (Ervin), Mildred Lengacher (Simon) and Joe Wagler; and also, Kevin Swartzentruber and Rosie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid, a private service with the immediate family will be held to celebrate the life of Wilmer in the chapel at Parkview Village Christian Care.

Rosie and her family have requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Parkview Village Christian Care, 800 S. West St., Odon, IN 47562.
