He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Hayes, Sr. and Sylvia Hayes (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Vickie Sue Parsons; his children, Robin Knepp of Odon and Tracey Hayes (Debbie) of Loogootee; his grandchildren, Adara Batchelor (Ryan) of Montgomery, Taylor Hayes of Greenfield and Talan Hayes of Loogootee; his great grandchildren, Aryah and Ryder Batchelor of Montgomery; and his sisters, Sondra Brown of Odon and Rosanna Reed of Odon.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of Danny to Ketcham Memorial Center or Odon United Methodist Church.
