He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Cornelius and Gladys Cornelius (Edwards); his former wife Monna Dee Cornelius (Woodruff); and his siblings, Modene Fyffe, Marilyn Wade, Shirley Moody, Lloyd Cornelius and Ray Cornelius.
He is survived by: his former wife Alta Grace; his wife Gracie Cornelius; his sons, Mike Cornelius (Anna) of Plainville, Mark Cornelius (Ginny) of Elnora and Jeff Cornelius (Cindy) of Elberfeld; his grandchildren, Amy Miller (late Jake), Alan Cornelius (Beanie), Jason Cornelius (Michele), Mandy Britton (John), Matthew Cornelius (Kasey) and Jessica Bowman; and his brother Norman Cornelius (Cheryl). He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorial contributions for Morris to be made to Gideon's International or Via Quest Hospice.
