He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Pierson and Marjorie Pierson (Shimp); his wife Maryann Pierson (Blakesley); his son Scott Grove; and his brother John Pierson.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Pierson (Kim) of Lawrenceburg and Michele Ream (Monty) of Logansport; his granddaughter Kennedy Ream; and his siblings, George Pierson (Cecile), Sara Smith and Beth Ann Baker (Samuel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Odon Christian Church.
