He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sims and Violet Sims (Chestnut); and his brother Tommy Sims. He is survived by: his children, Mark Sims, Emily Sims (Delbert) and Donna Long (Scott); his grandsons, Kaleb, Dylan (Kenzi) and Jacob; and his sisters, Nancy Bailey (Mike), Darla Simmons (Max) and Anita Aders (Duane).
