It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean VanderMel of Odon, Indiana, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred R. Geisler and Magdalene K. Geisler (Grott); her husband Ralph VanderMel; her stepson Ron Steele; and her siblings, Robert, Richard, James, Donald, Bernard Geisler, Lucille Jensen, Irene Nowatzke and Lorraine Hyatte.
She is survived by: her son Jeff VanderMel of Odon; her stepson Rick Steele (Linda) of Ionia, MI; her grandchildren, Carmen Ferguson (Tony), Aaron Steele (Jessica), Sarah Hammond (Justin), Hannah Gingerich (Nate) and Lilly Fox (Justin); and also Debbie.
