He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Kemp and Alice Kemp (Stoll); and his siblings, Agnes Kemp, Ora Kemp, Alva Kemp (Rosanna) and Vernon Kemp (Tim).
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Kemp (Graber) of Odon; his son Mark Kemp of Cumming, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Amy Kemp; his grandchildren, Grace Kemp and Matthew Kemp; and his siblings, Melvin Kemp (Jean) of Montgomery, Dorothy Graber (Willard) of Cannelburg, June Riegsecker (Mel) of Shipshewana, Mary Wagler (Ervin) of Plainville and Ann Ennis of Washington. He is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews.
