It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royce Earl Houchin of Oakland City, Indiana, born in Velpen, Indiana, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Houchin and Estel Houchin (Smith); his grandchildren, Lathe and Anthony; and his siblings, Kenny Houchin and Marilynn Beadles.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Houchin; his daughters, Cindi Barnett (Tony), Medea Gulledge (Corey) and Yvette Powell (Ryan); his grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Megan, Ryan, Katie, Cory and Nick; and his sister Sue Mann (Larry). He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
