He is survived by: his children, Johnny Mathies (Stephanie) of Huntingburg, Ashely Rauscher of Rockport and Hannah Mathies of Winslow; his brothers, Rick, Wayne, Robert Mathias, Robbie and Derek Piercy; and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Samuel, Stephen, Jaxon, Izzabella, Kaleb, Killian, Desmond and Luna.
