She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis David and Helen Trimble (Swigart); her former husband Thomas Harold Smith; and her siblings, Susie Trimble, Bill, Larry and Jim Trimble.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Cook of Oakland City; her children, Tom Smith (Judy) of Velpen, Carla Mehringer (Doug) of Jasper, Amy Peyton (Luke) of Greenwood and Brad Smith (Anik) of Velpen; her sisters, Linda Reeves of Bloomington and Sandy Seal of Mooresville; and her grandchildren, Erica Padgett, Staci Gentry, Derek Mehringer, Rachel Buschkoetter, Ryan Hinderliter, Leo, Cash and Rosalie Smith. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
