It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Patricia Lorene Schafer of Oakland City, Indiana, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 83, on May 29, 2021. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dorothy McCool Day and Charles Loran; her daughters, Jennifer Jo of Shelbyville and Amy (Aaron) of Oakland City; her grandchildren, Tyler Heerdink, Josh Heerdink, Abigail, Alyssa and Arik Thurston; her brother Bob Day (Nelda) of Tell City; her nephews, Eric Day (Lisa) and Brian Day (Naomi); and her niece Danielle Pollard (Kevin). She was also cherished by her animals, and cherished friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 A. M Friday June 4, 2021 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gentryville, IN. Vistiatioin will be from 5:00 -8:00 P. M Thursday and from 9:00 A. M. until services on Friday at the chapel. All those who wish to honor and remember Patricia in person at the service is required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance. Social distancing will be enforced.

Memorial Contributions in Pat's honor can sent to ASPCA and or American Humane Society.
