He was predeceased by: his father Hershel K. Nixon; and his siblings, Cecil, Oscar Lee Nixon and Barbara Maxis. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Nixon (Chappell); his children, Billy S. Nixon (Donita) of Oakland City and Loree McGregor of Oakland City; his grandchildren, Holly Dillman (Alex), Katie Waller (Nick), Jacob McGregor, Shelby Williams (Tyler), Justin Nixon (Ivy) and Jessica Nixon; his great grandchildren, Ty, Savannah, Roland, Oliver, Max, Tinley and Sadie; and his sisters, Audie K. Schuesslar (Ed) and Naomi Liggett (Tommy).

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to New Life Tabernacle Church located at 9485 Co. Rd. 250 S. Oakland City, IN 47660.
