It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon C. Emerson (Oakland City, Indiana), who passed away on September 4, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Emerson and Ora Emerson; his siblings, Alvie, Bill, Bryce, Dormet Emerson, Sybil Berry, Lois Hankins, LaVerne McDonald and Hazel (Wilma L. Emerson); and his children, Onita Jean Gillihan and Larry C. Emerson.

He is survived by: his brother Waylon Emerson of Clinton, AR.; and his stepgranddaughter Stephanie Montz. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 1 great- great Grandchild.
