He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Ayers and Pansy Ayers (Uthoff); and his grandfather Lee. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ayers of Oakland City; his children, Sheri Powers (Timothy) of Oakland City and John Ayers (Shaleen) of Oakland City; his grandchildren, Lauren Schmidt (Myles), Alexander Powers (Hannah), Nicolas Powers (Whitney), Kendall Ayers (Lauren), Kelise Perkins (Kasey) and Kenzie Ayers (Tristan Vickers); and his sisters, Neva Settles (Fred Cannon) and Belinda Ayers (Char Molinaro). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
