He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis A. Truitt and Estel O. Truitt (Kays); his wife Joyce; his siblings, Ellis, Paul, Ora Truitt and Lucille LeMasters; and his daughters, Deanna Briggs and Joanna Mason.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Truitt (Dana) and Kent; and his grandchildren, Michael Briggs (Crissy), Amie Persinger (Larry) of Oakland City, Dan Mason (John Nordgauer) of New Harmony, IN, Patrick Mason (Lori) of Oklahoma City, OK, Brandon Truitt (Amanda) of Winslow, IN and Taylor Truitt (Heather) of Loogootee, IN. He is also survived by twelve great Grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
