He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Cox and Delouris Cox; and his siblings, Linda Miskell, Georgetta Kozar, Paul, Billy and Bobbie Cox.

He is survived by: his sons, Brady (Emilee) and Clint (Lisa); the mother of his children Nancy Cox (Tom); his grandsons, Kelson and Kashton Cox; his close friend Bonnie Mason; his pet Amos; and his siblings, Clara Cox, Mona Davis, Kay Brown (Dennis), Debbie Hoover (Joe) and Donnie Cox (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
